Context
Terralpha, an SNCF Réseau subsidiary, is strengthening its teams and recruiting Telecom Technician.
Terralpha's ambition is to deploy ultra-high-speed, highly reliable points of presence throughout France. Terralpha's unique national network, combined with its full ownership of the railway arteries, gives it unprecedented resilience, security and sovereignty.
Terralpha's digital trust service has been extended to include the construction of Digital Dalles. These purpose-built spaces enable customers to install DataCenters on railway rights-of-way, where they will benefit from carrier-grade energy, data transport, surveillance and access services.
Job description & main activities
Reporting to our Operations Department and the NOC Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the network's transmission assets are kept operational in the field.
As part of maintenance
- Carry out corrective maintenance as part of network operations
- Carry out maintenance and repair work in the tertiary sector
- Carry out maintenance work on our customers' premises (service qualification, optical investigation, equipment debugging, etc.)
- Monitor the work carried out by our maintenance staff
As part of the delivery/operations
- Carrying out survey sites on our telecom installations: Analysing, monitoring and correcting points associated with periodic inspections of telecom installations/sites
- Support and monitor our service providers during their work on our network
- Supporting our customers during the delivery of our optical and hosting services
- Checking our customers' optical installations and connections on our network
- Maintain infrastructure repositories and procedures
As part of the roll-out
- Meet the needs of project teams as part of the telecoms roll-out
- Installing and commissioning transmission equipment.
- Create recipes for WDM transmission links
- Take delivery of our installations (racks, street cabinets, shelters, etc.)
Resources and working conditions
The Telecoms Technician will be required to work alone and as part of a team with a wide range of parties.

Most of the time, the workplace will be Saint-Denis. However, some travel may be required.

Experience and skills
The Telecom Technician will have solid experience in WDM transmission with an operator or manufacturer, with knowledge of optical fibre deployment (reflectometry, welding, cabling, etc.) and the telecoms environment (data centre, shelter, street cabinet).
